“Today I wanna ask you, for what reason did you marry me? Me and my co-wife, who has taken over the house. It is no wonder you try to spark a fght between us, and even when I humble myself down, you take it as an advantage to step on me. I can beat you up and pay your fne, and leave with bruises all over your body. I will take you and your ridiculous acts out of my house. You do not hold the sceptre in this house, we are all equal. My husband married me recently and I have chicken already, where are yours? I have held his hand tght and he cannot come to your house again. Please do not try to complete because you will not fnd your goal.” This song is a warning to the singer’s husband and his mistress that she does not allow their drama in her house. Sang in weddings and general occasions.

Hailing from Lamu, Kenya, the Al Noor band is a troupe of more than ten musicians: Percussionists, singers, keyboardist, and flautist. Sometimes they are accompanied by dancers when playing at big weddings.
Their leader, Khalid, who is also the composer and arranger of most of their songs, aims to fuse together the midzikenda sounds of Giriama/Bajuni music with the oriental Taarab rhythms.
